Bed
Mon Sep 14, 2009 14:39 (UTC -5)My new apartment came furnished, and my bedroom has a full-size bed. It’s been kind of hard to get used to. I’ve been sleeping in a twin-size bed for as long as I can remember, and I can’t imagine why a normal person would need or want a bed wide enough for two people. Well, I can, but still.
I have two pillows on my new bed, so there’s a potential for an ever-raging debate over which side I should sleep on. I’ve decided to sleep on the side of my nightstand when I have to wake up at a specific time in the morning and on the other side when I don’t. It makes a sort of sense. Still, I feel like I shouldn’t have to make that decision every night.
Also, every day without fail, I’ve made my bed upon waking up, which is something I never used to do. Is this the beginning of OCD?
But seriously, I guess it is nice to live in a reasonably clean-looking space. That’s a good attitude for me to have since I’ll have to keep this place reasonably clean.

I have a full sized bed at home- so I sleep there during the summer, and I always sleep on the side by my nightstand too. It feels like I’m wasting a perfectly good half of a bed though. I suppose sometimes it’s nice to stretch out. Gosh, I can’t believe I just left a whole comment about full sized beds.

I guess it might be nice to stretch out once in a while, although I haven’t had to do that yet. And I can’t believe I wrote a whole post about full-sized beds.

I sleep diagonally across full sized beds. I’m not using the whole thing, but I’m using more of it? Also that way my feet don’t hang off the end? You could try it.

Full-sized beds aren’t exactly big enough for 2 people, unless those 2 people are very small. I can take up a king sized bed by myself, but Mister and I sleep in a queen-sized bed. You’ll get used to it. When I’m by myself, I sleep either in the middle of the bed or diagonally across it, even though I position myself on one side when I fall asleep.

Two words, Jordon: Partner.
BTW, ignore the naysayers, Jordon, I spent most of my nineteenth year sharing a “super single” bed (basically an extra-long twin.)

As it happens, I’ve been drifting toward the center of my bed the past few nights. Which is not to say that sharing a bed wouldn’t be a good idea…
