Its the old fart again. Writing for money hones your skills. If you are a good writer, you are not confined to earning a living from writing about your passion. You learn to write about other people&#039;s passions. I started out as a daily newspaper reporter when I was 15 (I lied about my age). Deadlines, writing styles, etc. are nothing more than the disciplines of the trade. I refer to them as nothing more than &quot;sharpening my pencil&quot;. Later in life you can apply these same disciplines in writing books, films or blogs. Have a great year. Learn lots. Drink a little. Have a good time.</description>
