I AM SO JEALOUS. I love Kimya Dawson. I think I would have cried if I got to hug her. Her husband is amazing too.

As for the dating thing, reading a book really isn't going to help that much. You really just have to be yourself and make sure you talk to girls you're interested in. If you don't say something to them, then how will they know you like them? If they're interested they'll probably keep eye contact, smile a lot, touch your arm or shoulder, anything like that. Don't you have a twin sister? I'm sure she could give you a lot of tips or even introduce you to some girls she knows that she thinks you might go well with. Generally, girls walking around campus aren't going to want to talk to some guy they don't know.

There's a convenience store/sub shop in the dorm across the street, but that's about it. I imagine the Starbucks in the library might be a good place.

You are an embodied human creature. You probably seek embodied human creatures. You are not your body, but you are stuck with it. I encourage you to look all over town for your body and come back when you have found it. Yes, Virginia, there is nonverbal communication.

There is a point beyond which you are no longer faking it. Don't start faking it. You are Jordon. Jordon is pretty interesting, but sometimes he forgets to tell people that. You shouldn't be someone else but less ashamed to show people who you are, which is not a list of _what_ you do but more _why_. For what does the history of Jordon serve as preface?

Please don't walk up to random strangers on the street unless you are under the supervision of a trained professional. Why not do it someplace where that is more socially acceptable? Don't you kids have a coffee shop-like place to eat in the dorms?

Just had to pop in here to give my comment. You don't have to "slip someone the tongue" to be a good kisser. Just go with the flow. I've noticed a lot of guys like to just kind of stick their tongue out there like its a dead tree and or something and not move, big no no. Also spending time teaching the person your dating how to kiss is a lot of fun, so dont worry about never having practice.
