As for the dating thing, reading a book really isn't going to help that much. You really just have to be yourself and make sure you talk to girls you're interested in. If you don't say something to them, then how will they know you like them? If they're interested they'll probably keep eye contact, smile a lot, touch your arm or shoulder, anything like that. Don't you have a twin sister? I'm sure she could give you a lot of tips or even introduce you to some girls she knows that she thinks you might go well with. Generally, girls walking around campus aren't going to want to talk to some guy they don't know.

There is a point beyond which you are no longer faking it. Don't start faking it. You are Jordon. Jordon is pretty interesting, but sometimes he forgets to tell people that.
