Merry Tree!
Sun Dec 04, 2005 17:58 (UTC -5)I’ve had a very boring weekend. I’m glad it’s almost over. I haven’t done anything worthwhile or interesting, except maybe a few things.
Friday: A night out at Mizner Park with Kevin, Lisa, and Kristen, to wish Kevin good luck on the SAT.
Saturday: Cleaned my room some. Helped my dad fix a flat tire on my bike.
Today: Family went out and got a Christmas tree. The third place had just the right one. A lot of them are expensive or just not very good.
How about those pre-lit Christmas trees, huh? Who’s that lazy? And the upside-down ones too. Who’s that weird?
Man, you can really tell I’m stretching it. Let’s just move on to Ask Jordon.
Gregwah: Could you tell me how you configure wordpress to get it to run on NearlyFreeSpeech ? I’m stuck with the PHPAdmin interface and don’t know what to do.
I don’t really know. There is an important WordPress file — the one where you enter the database name and password, I think — with a line that says “99% chance you don’t have to change this,” but you do. Both WordPress and NearlyFreeSpeech.NET have support forums, though. Actually, I assume you’ve gotten help by now because I received this message over two weeks ago.
Tom: Green or Black? Olives that is.
Oh, black, I guess. I don’t eat many olives. I can’t remember ever eating green ones, even.
Random people on the street answer the big question: IE or Firefox? [direct link to MOV with sound] The ones who use IE pretty much have the same excuse: it’s familiar.
Why is this web site pink? (click the text on the main page to begin browsing the gallery). I don’t understand it either. At least some of the pictures seem to be taken in my area, which is a little scary. Oh well.
One year ago: “I had the Fettucine Alfredo. It was okay.”
Two years ago: “They chose randomly from all the A Honor Roll students, and I won. I didn’t even know there was a drawing.”

Strangely, that header message was not written with you in mind. On the contrary, I must have written it a year ago as one of the originals.
